Mississauga Health, Summerville Family Health Team, Credit Valley Family Health Team, and Trillium Health Partners Women’s & Children’s Program have partnered on a community-based Paediatric Care Clinic. This clinic is focused on alleviating emergency department pressures by offering timely in-person care from health care providers for flu-like symptoms on the same day or next day, if possible. This may include self-care advice, COVID-19 tests, or prescriptions. The Mississauga Paediatric Care Clinic is a free service available to children and youth aged 6 months to 17 years old who do not have a family physician, or their family physician does not have an after-hours on-call clinic to assist with certain non-urgent care needs (e.g., cough, cold and flu symptoms).

When do I bring my child to the emergency department?
If your child develops severe symptoms (see symptoms below), call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
For children, severe symptoms include:
