Coronavirus

Ontario's Spring 2024 COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign is currently underway and will run from April to June 2024.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is recommending that ONLY individuals who are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 receive a COVID-19 vaccination this spring. For those not at increased risk, it is NOT recommended that you receive a dose this spring. Further vaccine recommendations will be available closer to fall 2024. Please refer to the COVID-19 website at COVID‑19 vaccines | ontario.ca for more information.

If you think you have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever and/or chils, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, decrease or loss of smell or taste, muscle aches or joint pain, extreme tiredness, runny or stuffy/congested nose, headache, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea, abdominal pain, pink eye, decreased or no appetite [young children only]) stay home while you are sick to prevent transmission to others, except for testing or medical care if required.

We continue to ask patients to call the Summerville Family Health Team clinic if they suddenly have COVID symptoms before coming into to the clinic. If you think you need a COVID-19 test, assessment or treatment, you can:

Don’t delay if you think you have COVID-19 and are seeking treatment. You will need to start treatment within five days from symptom onset. Call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency department if you or your child have severe symptoms.
